If you haven´t noticed yet we added a spoofer to our product. Im sure there are alot of questions, so lets clear some things up.
1.Will this change the HWID on my PC?
- no. Our spoofer only targets steam, steam collects certain HWID´s and sends them to their servers upon startup. Furthermore our changes are only applied per session, so if you fully close steam or change account steam will register your real HWID again. If you wish to be anonymous again you must spoof again.
2. How does it work?
- since steam doesn´t collect their HWID´s through an extra kernel module like we see it in most modern games we can simply "inject" a small helper into the steam process, which then simply forwards fake values to the steam servers once steam asks for them. Once those has been sent the helper is removed automatically.
3. Does VAC/Vacnet use my HWID to apply sanctions?
- we do not know. Nobody knows. Since VAC especially VACNET doesn´t work like your usual anticheat we cant just simply reverse it and check what they actually do. In the current state there are no proven examples of this happening. However it is possible and it wouldn´t surprise me if we see repeat offenders being watched more aggressive by Vacnet or straight up permanently banned instead of the usual 20h cooldowns etc.
4. Who should use this?
- if you are purely focused on legit cheating there is close to no point in using this. If you are a rage cheater and get cooldowns on a daily/weekly basis i would start consider using it. Keep in mind this wont prevent cooldowns this is more of a ultra safety measure for the future.
